Whatever happened at Masjid e Nabawi was wrong, I condemn it: Sheikh Rashid

ISLAMABAD: Former interior minister and Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Sunday said whatever happened at the Masjid e Nabawi (SAWW) was wrong and he condemned it.
Talking to media in Islamabad, Sheikh Rashid said his nephew Sheikh Rashid Shafique was not at Roza e Rasool (SAWW) when the incident of hooliganism took place. However, he said he would not beg for his freedom. It was good for him to stay at jail for political training, he maintained.
To a query about his intention to take bail in case in which he has been nominated along Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leaders, he said he would not take bail before arrest from court.
The veteran politician predicted that May would be dangerous.

He said the government had sent people after him last night. They were after his life, he added. He said he have given names of seven people including Rana Sanaullah, Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza Shahbaz and Nawaz Sharif at the Secretariat police station for planning to hurt him.
Sheikh Rashid said Rana Sanullah was a contract killer and he had been appointed as the interior minister to trigger anarchy in the country.
He said the judiciary was going to get the burden as false cases were being forged. They wanted to create tragedy at the Islamabad march, he said.
The AML chief said the government removed 300 people from the Exit Control List soon after taking power, including multiple such people who were involved in serious crimes. He said he expected from the army chief and Inter Services Intelligence to see the matter of the ECL.
