Clash erupted between student organizations in DUET

KARACHI: A clash between two student organizations erupted at Daud University of Engineering and Technology (DUET)’s cafeteria. Later, members of the organizations also fought near the bus stand. Several injuries have been reported from both sides, BOL News reports.
The police and the rangers came and controlled the situation. The students, especially the girls were scared of the situation and went out of the campus. Students of the DUET told that the administration had failed to control the animus situation in the university.

“Those students who are not part of any organizations are threatened and harassed by the members,” a student of DUET told. The students also claimed that these organizations beat any non-political student, whenever they want. They are the ones who start the conflict at first, which later turns into a mob fight, they said.
Another student claimed, “They are the so-called student organizations. They force the students to empty the seats for them when they enter the cafeteria. The same happens in the bus stands, and if someone denies giving them their place, they start beating that student like a wild animal.”
