NAROWAL: Around 401 Sikh pilgrims arrived at Gurdwara Kartarpur on Monday to commemorate the death anniversary of ‘Maharaja Ranjeet Singh,’ Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC) member Andar Jeet Singh told BOL News.

The member of PSGPC mentioned that after offering their special prayers, the Sikh community will rest at Kartarpur tonight. Sikh pilgrims are provided safety and transportation until they reach the border. The Sikh pilgrims will also be facilitated with ‘Langar parshad,’ and medical treatments.

The Sikh Sangat will leave for Gurdwara Rohri on June 28 after breakfast. On June 29, the Sangat will attend the final ceremony of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh at Gurdwara Dera Sahib. As per the plan made by the PSGPC, the Sikh Sangat will safely reach India via the Wahga border by June 30, Andar Jeet Singh told.

The Kartarpur Corridor has been named the ‘Corridor of Peace’ between the two neighboring countries, where most of the Sikh pilgrims pay a visit to the Gurdwara throughout the year.
