Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance Taimur Saleem Jhagra says the government has presented a poor-friendly and balanced budget despite facing financial challenges.

Addressing the post-budget conference in Peshawar on Tuesday, he said sufficient allocations have been made for Swat motorway phase-II, Dir motorway, Daraban Economic Zone, Peshawar-DI Khan motorway to improve provincial infrastructure.
The Minister said the government will launch Insaf Food Card at a cost of twenty-six billion rupees within three months which will benefit more than two million families. Similarly, Education Insaf Card is also proposed at a cost of one billion rupees to provide assistance to students for higher education.
Meanwhile, as per reports, the Balochistan budget is to be presented in Assembly Hall on June 17. Whereas general discussion on a financial plan will be held in the meeting on June 20.
According to the details, a general discussion on budget 23-2022 will be held on June 21 and the overall discussion on budget 20-2022 and Finance Bill 2022 will be presented on June 22.
Whereas, general debate on Supplementary Demands for the Fiscal Year 2022-21 and budget will be on June 23. The annual demand for money for the financial year 2022-23 will be discussed on June 24.

On the other hand, a statement of expenditure approved on June 27 for the financial year 22-23 and supplementary 21-22 will be tabled in the House.
Notably, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government presented a budget of Rs1,118.3 billion for the Fiscal Year 2021-22.
The government announced that the budget will be allocated as Rs371 billion for the Annual Development Plan (ADP) and Rs747.3 billion for the current expenditure.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan said that the current budget was amid the development of the province and providing quality service delivery to its citizens.
