KARACHI: As per an estimate, traffic accidents across Karachi claimed the lives of at least 96 individuals and badly injured 72 others in 2022 so far, BOL News reports on Monday.

According to details, there were a total of 114 accidents throughout the city. As per statistics, the district west suffered the most casualties, with 30 people dying and 42 others being severely or minorly hurt. In District Malir, 19 people died, and six others were injured. In district South, 12 individuals were killed and ten others were wounded in 2022 so far. While, in district central, 9 people died, 15 people faced death in district East, two people died in district city, and 9 people died in district Korangi.

as per reports pouring in BOL, around 20 casualties were recorded due to truck accidents, 11 deaths were reported due to water tankers, and 11 deaths were also claimed due to road accidents by the trailers.

Car accidents claimed the deaths of 11 individuals, while dumper truck accidents claimed the lives of 4, oil tankers took the lives of 10, and public bus accidents caused the deaths of 8, BOL News reports.
