Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman to be hospitalized for two days

LAHORE: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will remain hospitalized for two days till the completion of his medical tests.

While issuing a clarification on the health of the party chief, JUI-F spokesperson Aslam Ghauri said Maulana Fazlur Rehman was admitted to a private hospital in Lahore for a routine checkup.

He said Maulana Fazlur Rehman traveled to Lahore from Islamabad for a checkup. However, doctors advised him to complete his medical tests and stay at the hospital for two days.

The spokesperson confirmed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Fazlur Rehman and ordered the hospital staff to provide the best medical facilities.

The JUI-F chief also thanked the prrime minister for visiting him at the hospital.  The spokesperson dispelled all fake news and rumours regarding the JUI-F leader’s health. He thanked all political and social leaders who contacted him regarding the health of Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

Earlier, it was reported that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has been shifted to the hospital after his health condition worsened where he underwent a medical examination.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Ittefaq Hospital and inquired about the health of the JUI-F chief. He presented a bouquet to Fazlur Rehman and prayed for his recovery.
