LAHORE: Senior provincial minister and parliamentary leader Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Punjab Assembly Syed Hasan Murtaza said on Thursday that leadership of the Pakistan Tehreek -e-Insaf (PTI) was using the name of former president Asif Ali Zardari for gaining cheap popularity.

Hassan Murtaza said that the PTI itself was involved in horse trading and blamed the PPP leadership. He questioned who bought Jalil Sharaqpuri and Faisal Niazi.

He also said Imran Niazi didn’t even spare pilgrims and offered 10 crores to Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N)’s Ilyas Chinioti who was in Saudi Arabia for Hajj.

He further said the PTI was suffering from Zardari-phobia. He warned that PTI’s political dwarfs should refrain from slanderous accusations.

Asif Ali Zardari gave Pakistan 18th constitutional amendment, NFC award and political stability, he said.

“Asif Zardari is a soft target because he practices reconciliation politics and meets everybody with a smile,” he said adding that all the political families of Pakistan believed and trusted Asif Zardari, while nobody was ready to trust Imran Niazi who did politics of hatred and chaos.

He said in the political history of Pakistan, first time turncoats were against the PPP.

The PPP doesn’t believe in the politics of making turncoats, he said. He said Asif Zardari’s style of politics was reconciliation while Imran Niazi’s politics was based on hypocrisy.
