Soldier martyred, six terrorists killed in Balochistan: ISPR

QUETTA: At least six terrorists were killed during an operation conducted by security forces in Hoshab, district Kech of Balochistan, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The military’s media wing said that the operation was conducted on information regarding the movement of a terrorist group on motorcycles towards Panjgur from Kech.

“Security forces immediately cordoned the area and started a search operation to apprehend the terrorists,” the ISPR said, adding that once surrounded, the terrorists opened indiscriminate fire on security forces.

The ISPR mentioned that a heavy exchange of fire took place between terrorists and security forces and a large cache of arms and ammunition has been recovered.

During engagement, Havaldar Hidayat Ullah, who belongs to Lakki Marwat, embraced martyred while Naik Mir Muhammad, who hailed from Waziristan, was injured, the military’s media wing added.

It mentioned that a heavy exchange of fire took place between terrorists and security forces and a large cache of arms and ammunition has been recovered.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has lauded the security forces for conducting successful operation against the terrorists in district Kech.

In a statement, he condoled with the bereaved family of Havaldar Hidayat Ullah who embraced martyrdom in the operation and prayed for early recovery of the injured, Naik Mir Muhammad.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said Havaldar Hidayat Ullah embraced martyrdom for the country and the entire nation salutes its martyrs.
