KARACHI: A heavy rainfall hits parts of Karachi early this morning pushing the city once again towards inundated roads and severe traffic jams, reported BOL News on Wednesday.

The spell that started on Monday will continue till August 18 in the city and under this system, the metropolis will witness scattered downpours and thunderstorms.

After the morning falls, many areas have been facing flooding issues and the main thoroughfares of the city are submerged in rainwater and mud.

How much rainfall recorded in Karachi?

The meteorological department has released the data on how much rain it has received from 8 am yesterday to 8 am today.

According to the department, till now the highest rainfall has been recorded in Gadap town 98.4 mm while Kemari 45 mm, Sadi town 43 mm and Orangi town 43 mm have been recorded.

Saddar 37, Base Masroor 32, Quaidabad 24.5mm, Nazimabad 20.6mm, Gulshan Hadid 19mm, University Road 17.8 mm including Old Airport 13.4mm, Sarjani 12.2 mm have been recorded.

Apart from this, Gulshan Maymar 11.2mm, Base Faisal 10mm, North Karachi 9.6 mm have been recorded while DHA 6.5mm and Korangi 4.6 mm of rain has been recorded.
