KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said Friday that the party wants immediate local government (LG) polls without delay for even a day.
He was addressing a presser when said the Supreme Court of Pakistan has already issued a verdict in regards to the delimitation of the constituencies in Pakistan adding that the apex court has given the authority to the Election Commission.
Khalid Maqbool alleged that the Sindh government in contradiction with the SC decision of the year 2014, decided on the constituencies.
He said that the constituencies of Sindh formed by the local government are against the law and constitution of the country and alleged that the Sindh government has promoted linguism in the region by doing so.
The MQM convener also questioned the prime minister and the president in this regard adding that what option MQM has for justice.
The leader also alleged that the voter lists were also being rigged and demanded correction of the constituencies before August 28.
