KARACHI: A case has been registered and two employees have been arrested for allegedly organizing transgender’s dance on the Tezgam Express train.

A video had gone viral showing a dance was organized in the dining hall of the train going from Karachi. Police have arrested the train manager Rana Azhar and dining car manager Arsalan for further investigation.

The private firm involved in operating the rain had dismissed the two officials from service and handed them over to police for organizing the dance.

Pakistan Railways spokesperson had said the company has also released a video message stating that the train’s dining car managers were handed over to police for investigation. The company had pledhed to cooperate with the department and fire any official found involved in the incident.

Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique had taken stern notice of the dancing incident and said action should be taken against those responsible.

A show cause notice was issued to the commercial management of the train. The private operator was told that the license would be canceled if an appropriate response was not submitted.

Bol News had reported the story and video of the incident, showing a transgender person dancing in the dining car. The dance video recorded on a moving train went viral on social media.

It was learned that the dance party of the transgender persons was arranged by the train manager in the presence of women and children. The incident reportedly occurred on August 14.
