ANF conducts crackdown against drug peddlers, dealers
RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has conducted a crackdown against drug peddlers across the country and recovered a huge amount during separate raids.
ANF officials said that in the first operation, 184 kg of 800 grams of opium and 66 kg of hashish were recovered from the car at the Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza, while the accused resident of Buner has also been arrested.
In a separate raid, ANF authorities said that 96 kilos of hashish, 18 kilos of opium, and 7 kilos of heroin were recovered from the warehouse located on the Peshawar Ring Road while the accused resident of Khyber has also been arrested.
ANF officials said that 21 kg 600 grams of hashish and 9 kg 600 grams of opium were recovered from two accused in the car at Lahore Motorway Toll Plaza.
ANF officials further said that further investigation has been started by registering cases against the accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act.
