COAS Bajwa stresses unified response to promote national interests

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has emphasized that peace and stability can only be achieved if rule of law and writ of the state is established.

The army chief visited the National Defence University (NDU) and delivered a talk to the participants of the 24th National Security Workshop.

While talking to participants, COAS Bajwa spoke on various challenges to national security and response measures, the Inter-Services Public Relations said in a statement.

According to the military’s press statement, COAS Bajwa said that national cohesion and unified response to guard and promote Pakistan’s national interests is imperative for progress.

Pakistan has faced many challenges but came out stronger every time, the army chief was quoted as saying. Our fight against terrorism is one such example which only succeeded due to the whole of the nation approach, COAS reiterated.

He emphasized that peace and stability can only be achieved if rule of law and state writ is established.
