Kidnapped software engineer recovered in Karachi

KARACHI: Police have recovered a software engineer who was kidnapped for ransom by his business associates and kept in captivity for three days.

Clifton police conducted an operation for the recovery of the software who was kidnapped over three days ago. Police also arrested three suspects involved in the kidnapping for ransom incident.

Sunny Kumar, a resident of Clifton, worked as a software engineer along with his business associates.

He was reportedly kidnapped by his business associates on November 8 and hid in an empty warehouse in Federal B. Area. The kidnapper demanded ransom from Sunny’s father.

Sunny’s father attempted to convince the kidnappers on his own for three days so that they would not harm his son by abducting him.

On November 11, Sunny’s father contacted the Clifton police to recover his son, Police registered a case and started searching for the suspects.

Police eventually a suspect involved in the kidnapping incident from Zamzama. Upon identification, police raided the place where kidnapped Sunny was kept and rescued him.
