PMD predicts cold and dry weather in Karachi

KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Saturday forecasted dry and cold weather in Karachi and its suburban areas as the temperature continues to drop.

PMD predicted that with the arrival of winter in Karachi, the nights of the city have started getting cool, but the weather of the city will remain dry throughout the day.

Meteorological Department said coldest night of this month is likely to be recorded today while winter in Karachi usually starts in December.

It has been said in the PMD report that there was fog in Karachi in morning hours  due to which the visibility has affected. The forecast will remain clear today, but there is no chance of rain.

The meteorological department said that a humidity ratio of 75 percent has been recorded  and th winds blowing from the northeast direction at a speed of 5 kilometers per hour in the city. At this time, the current temperature of Karachi is 16 degrees Celsius, but the minimum temperature was recorded at 14 degrees Celsius.

The Meteorological Department added that the temperature is likely to be 30 to 32 degrees Celsius throughout the day and the city will have a wind speed of 18 km per hour.
