ISLAMABAD: The anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday extended the interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

The bail was extended in a terrorism case filed against Imran Khan after demonstrations were held following his disqualification by the ECP in the Toshakhana case.

The case was heard by ATC) judge Raja Jawad Abbas Hasan where PTI lawyer Babar Awan maintained that the former prime minister and PTI chief Imran Khan is in Lahore and cannot appear before the court.

The court accepted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman’s plea for exemption from personal appearance in the case and extended the interim bail till January 10.

On the other hand, a court in Quetta ended cases against PTI Senator Azam Swati filed in the province.

Pertinently, five cases filed against Senator Azam Swati were dismissed earlier while three were dismissed today.
