PTI Senator Azam Swati has been shifted to Sukkur Airport from Qambar Shahdadkot, Larkana.
Police sources said that the senator would be taken to Islamabad through a plane of the federal government.
Azam Swati would be remanded in judicial custody in Islamabad.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Sindh police quashed all cases registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Azam Swati in the Larkana division.
Azam Swati’s son Usman Swati reached the High Court Sukkur bench where he filed a petition against the arrest of his father and quash the cases.
Senator Azam Swati was produced in the court of Magistrate and Civil Judge Naseerabad on Wednesday after a three-day remand.
The cancellation class report of the cases filed in Qambar Shahdadkot, Larkana, and District Kashmore Kandhkot by the Larkana Police was submitted in the court of Judicial Magistrate and Civil Judge Naseerabad.
According to the report, the cases filed against Azam Swati in Larkana, Qambar Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, and Kashmore have been closed.
During today’s proceedings, Abdul Rauf Korai, counsel for Swati, presented a report before Qambar judicial magistrate and civil judge Ali Bakhsh Mashori.
He informed the local court that police have withdrawn cases registered against his client in three districts of the Larkana division.
The lawyer said that Swati’s three-day physical remand has also expired but his client is still under the custody of Qambar police.
Earlier, Sindh High Court (SHC) barred the provincial police from arresting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Senator Azam Swati in cases registered against him.
As per details, the divisional bench comprised of Justice Adnan Karim and justice Mehmood A Khan heard the case.
The Swati counsel said that there are several cases registered against the PTI senator in the same case which is also a violation of Supreme Court orders.
