BANNU: Security forces have carried out a search and kill operation inside the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) compound in Bannu hours after it was attacked by terrorists and rescued the hostages inside.

As per details, the forces have gunned down the terrorists inside the CTD compound and have been further combing the area for any threats.

The exchange of fire with the terrorists has left several security personnel injured and the hospitals were put on high alert while the mobile phone services were blocked in the area.

It was also reported that columns of smoke could be seen rising from the CTD office.
