LAKKI MARWAT: At least four policemen were martyred and four others injured in terrorists attacked ON police station in the Lakki Marwat area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Police sources confirmed that terrorists attacked the Bargi police station with hand grenades and rocket launchers.

Sources said Head Constable Ibrahim, Imran, Khairur Rahman, and Sabz Ali embraced martyrdom while  Gul Sahib Khan,  Balqiyaz, Amir Nawaz, and Farman Ullah were injured in the incident.

The terrorists fled the scene after exchanging heavy gunfire with the police. The bodies and the injured officials were shifted to the nearby hospital.

A heavy police contingent rushed to the police station later and launched a search operation in the area.

Earlier, At least six police officers, including an assistant sub-inspector (ASI), were killed when two motorcycle-riding terrorists opened fire on their patrol vehicle, Bol News reported.

According to a municipal police spokesperson, the incident happened inside the boundaries of the Dadiwala Police Station while the officers were on normal patrol close to a fair in the area.

Police officers ASI Ilm Deen, Detective Foot Constable Ahmed Nawaz, Lower Head Constable Zubair, Sepoy Usman Ali of the Frontier Reserve Police, Constable Mahmood Khan, and Driver Dil Jan are among the martyred officers.
