JAMSHORO: Gang-rape victim woman has said that Jamshoro police were not cooperating with her to arrest the culprits, Bol News reported on Sunday.

A divorced woman has reportedly been gang-raped in Jamshoro and police have not yet taken any action against the suspects. The woman, Kiran, said Nadir Brohi made her take tea in which a drug was mixed and subjected her to rape the entire night.

The woman said this at the press club, while accompanied by her children.

She said when she regained conscious, she found torture marks on her body. She said she filed a report with police, but they started annoying her instead of taking action against the suspect. The gang-rape victim said police were harassing her to leave the house and shift to another city. “Police have once before sent me to the jail in a false case,” she blamed.

Due to police, her personal life was also ruined as her husband divorced and abandoned her, she said.

The gang-rape victim sought justice from the Sindh inspector general, saying that she would commit suicide, if she was not provided justice.

On November 18, a seven-year-old girl was raped and murdered in Quaidabad area of Karachi.

The body of the minor girl was found on a plot of an under-construction building Muslimabad colony, Landhi.

A large number of locals had gathered at the spot and expressed their anger over the incident. They had also staged a protest and blocked both sides of the road in Daud Chowrangi

SSP Malir Irfan Bahadur and SSP Investigation had visited the crime scene to conduct a probe into the alleged kidnapping and murder of the minor girl.

A preliminary post-mortem report had confirmed that the minor girl was raped. The reports had stated there were extensive injuries and marks of torture on the victim’s body.
