ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Murad Saeed wrote a letter to the President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi regarding threats to his life.
In the letter, the PTI leader has penned down the details regarding stalking by unidentified persons and threats to his life and requested the President to take notice of the situation.
While referring to the case of slain journalist Arshad Sharif, he said that the journalist also requested the government to take action for his security but nothing was heard and Pakistan lost a loyal journalist and patriotic citizen.
He said that fake cases are being registered against him in the center and he along with his family is being threatened.
“I was asked to move the family several times but I have complete faith in Allah.”
Murad Saeed wrote, “Mr. President, you are the head of state and supreme commander of the armed forces, I hope that the negligence of state institutions and departments regarding Arshad Sharif’s letter will not be repeated.”
He also said that in a country where FIR could not be registered against an assassination attempt on a former prime minister there has been little hope for justice.
