ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif penned down a heartfelt note on the 8th anniversary of the APS attack and said that Pakistan has made great sacrifices to eradicate terrorism.

The premier took to his official Twitter handle and said: “Every year, December 16 reminds the entire nation of the agony and sorrow when the terrorists carried out atrocities in APS Peshawar.”

“The nation of Pakistan will never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs,” he added.

Meanwhile, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb also said despite the passage of eight years, even today we are unable to forget the tragedy.

“The cowardly evil elements attacked the future of the nation, the young children and martyred them,” she added.

Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi also expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and said today the whole nation is paying homage to the eternal sacrifices of the great martyrs of Army Public School Peshawar.

“The day of December 16 will always refresh the memory of the martyrs of APS.”

Moreover, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah prayed for the martyrs of the APS tragedy and said that it was one of the saddest events in Pakistan’s history.
