SUKKUR: Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sindh Haleem Adil Sheikh has said that the police are only registering cases against political opponents in Sindh instead of arresting robbers or street criminals.

Opposition leader Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh while talking to the media in Sukkur said that the police should arrest the robbers, not the citizens. He said when the police were arresting Senator Azam Swati, the robbers were allegedly sexually assaulting the child. He said that IG Sindh should be ashamed.

Halim Adil Shaikh said police should not enslave and must do their work which is their responsibility.

He said that the Sindh Police has been destroyed and the peace of Sindh has been put at stake. He lamented that the country is now going towards default.

Haleem Adil Sheikh said Azam Swati is a great asset to the party and senior citizen of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa are imprisoned on the land of Shah Abdul Latif Bhatai, Sachal Sarmast, and Lal Shahbaz Qalandar.

The opposition leader said, “I apologized  on behalf of Sindh to Azam Swati and the family, all the baseless cases filed against Swati in Sindh should be dismissed.”

Haleem Adil Sheikh further said that more than one billion were spent on Bilawal Zardari’s visits but unfortunately, there is no money to pay the salaries of the diplomatic staff in the country. He asked Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to visit flood-affected areas of Sindh and reviewed the flood situation.
