ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser on Thursday said Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf is using delaying tactics in acceptance of PTI member national assembly(MNA’s) resignations.

He said Speaker National Assembly had accepted 11 MNAs of PTI under pick and choose policy in past and now he is using delaying tactics to accept resignations. He further said PTI won a majority of vacant seats.

Asad Qaiser said PDM is running away from Karachi and Islamabad local government elections. He said all survey reports showed that PTI is leading in national and provincial assembly seats.

PTI leader said PTI is demanding free and fair elections across the country. He said the PDM government has destroyed the country’s economy during the eight-month rule.

PTI leader Qasim Suri said PTI appeared before Speaker National Assembly for resignations but he is not ready to accept resignations.   He said PTI delegation presented party point of view to Speaker.

He demanded to the Speaker to accept PTI MNA’s resignations and send them to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) as soon as possible to hold elections on vacant seats.
