• COAS Asim Munir meets UAE President today

DUBAI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir called on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the UAE President felicitated General Asim Munir on his appointment as the chief of the army and wished him luck in his new duties to serve his country and people.

The meeting was held at Qasr Al Shati Palace and the two sides reviewed cooperation relations and joint work between the UAE and Pakistan in defence and military affairs.

Moreover, the ways to strengthen the common interests of the two friendly countries were also underscored.

COAS Munir expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President.

Earlier, General Asim Munir met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman and discussed bilateral relations and the ways to enhance them.

The Saudi Press Agency reported the event early Monday and shared the pictures from the meeting that was held in the honour of the army chief in the Saudi city of AlUla.

“The army chief and the Saudi crown prince reviewed bilateral relations and the ways of enhancing them, in addition to a number of issues of common concern,” said the agency.
