ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to issue the schedule for by-polls on 33 NA seats very soon.

The electoral body has instructed the provincial election commissioners to prepare in this regard.

The sources privy to the matter have said that the commission is ready for the by-election on the 33 seats within 60 days.

The finance department of the ECP has prepared the expenses for the elections and said that elections on the seats of the National Assembly will incur expenses of over 3 billion rupees, while expenses up to 0.1 billion rupees will be incurred on by-elections on one seat of the Commission National Assembly.

It should be noted that the Election Commission had de-notified 35 members of the National Assembly of PTI on January 17, however, the appointment to 2 specific seats of the National Assembly will be made on the recommendation of PTI.
