LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has signed the summary for dissolution of Punjab Assembly and forwarded it to Governor Balighur Rehman.

The governor Punjab contacted the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leadership to discuss CM’s advice on dissolving the assembly, according to the Governor House sources. A letter had been written to the PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz for the formation of caretaker government in the province.

The governor will take a decision after considering legal and constitutional aspects as per the advice of the chief minister.

Later, Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Nawaz Sharif had a conversation with Maulana Fazal ur Rehman and Asif Ali Zardari over the phone. In which the three major leaders of the PDM consulted on the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly, the party sources said.

Asif Ali Zardari proposed to approach the court to stop the dissolution of the Assembly. However, Nawaz Sharif said to call the PDM summit on this matter immediately, said the party sources.
