KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Ismail said Thursday that arresting Imran Khan and putting him in jail is impossible.

He while addressing the media questioned why Fawad Chaudhry was taken into custody being covered in a cloth. “Is he a terrorist?”
Slamming the arrest of the PTI leader, Ismail said that the detention took place without arrest warrants and he was dragged on the roads in Lahore.

He also said that the orders of the Lahore High Court were binned and Chaudhry was taken to Islamabad against the high court orders.

Imran Ismail also threatened that if Imran Khan was arrested then Bilawal House and Model Town is also not far from reach.

The PTI leader said that seemingly the government wants to prolong the caretaker setup in Punjab, and Fawad Chaudhry’s arrest could be an attempt to divert attention.

Imran Ismail further said that neither the government has a public mandate nor does it want to go public. “With the plan, the country is being made a Banana republic.”
