LAHORE: Former prime minister and Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has decided to further consult on the proposal of resignations on the issue of delay in the dissolution of provincial assemblies.
Sources said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s proposal to resign from the Punjab Assembly is also under consideration, just like the National Assembly.
The PTI chairman has suggested that “If the dissolution of the assembly is delayed, the PTI members may resign. “
Sources said that in the dissolution of the assembly by the coalition party, the resignations of the members of the assembly were proposed.
Apart from this, there are concerns within the party about the anti-PTI statements of Chief Minister Punjab Pervaiz Elahi, there is also concern within the PTI about the connections of the Chief Minister with some PTI members for not dissolving the assemblies.
Sources further said that the PTI leadership will consult on the issue of the resignations of members from the assemblies while Imran Khan will take the final decision on the resignations and dissolution of the assemblies.
After the approval of the Speaker Punjab Assembly, a new notification was issued changing the date of the meeting of the Punjab3 Assembly to be held on January 11.
