LAHORE: In a horrific incident, a 13-year-old female servant was tortured and burned in the South Cantonment area of Lahore and a case has been registered against the accused.

The domestic worker was tortured and burned while a case against the main accused Afshan has been lodged on the complaint of the victim’s parents.

The police officials said that the parents came to meet the girl, but the employers were hesitant to bring the worker to the front, as a result of which Sakina Bibi along with her husband went inside the house where the girl, Maryam, was found in the worst tortured condition.

The police authorities said that Maryam was tortured by her mistress Afshan Bibi along with brothers Nadeem and Akmal, and the injured has been immediately shifted to the hospital for medical assistance.

As per details, the victim girl is a resident of Shibli Town and was employed for nine months. The employers tortured her so that she became disabled and they forced her to work in such conditions.

The police said that an immediate case has been registered against the three named accused Nadeem, Akmal and Afshan Bibi on the complaint of the girl’s mother, while raids are being conducted by forming a team to arrest the accused.

CCPO Lahore has also sought a report in this regard and ordered the immediate arrest of the employers.

He has issued instructions that violence against children and women will not be tolerated, the accused will be brought to justice and all resources will be used to arrest the accused.
