LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) has decided to take legal action against the irregularities in Sindh local government elections.

After Leader of Opposition in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh submitted the report of the irregularities in Sindh local body elections to Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan.

He has also been informed how the workers were subjected to revengeful actions. With the consensus of the PTI chairman it has been agreed that the irregularities will be challenged at every relevant forum.

Haleem Adil said that rigging in election will not be accepted in any way. The local body elections confirm Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s stand on the Election Commission of Pakistan. This issue will also affect the upcoming general elections.

Earlier, Imran Khan has strongly criticized the final result of the Local Government (LG) elections. In a series of tweets, the former prime minister said the “manipulated” elections will only cause more agitation, polarization and anarchy. While lashing out at the ruling party in Sindh, he had said the Pakistan Peoples Party has no commitment to fair and free elections, and instead uses force, blackmail, police harassment, and money to get votes.
