ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly (NA) Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on Friday accepted 35 more resignations of PTI MNAs, reported BOL News.

The move emerged as PTI threatened the government to be back in the parliament and move a no-confidence against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The Election Commission received the resignations of 35 PTI members and the electoral body is to de-notify them.

Sources in the know said that the commission will de-notify the members today.

The resignations of PTI members of the National Assembly were accepted, including Malika Bukhari, Andaleeb Abbas, Khusro Bakhtiar, Fakhr Imam, Hyder Ali Khan, Saleem Rehman, Sahibzada Sibghatullah.

Speaker National Assembly also accepted the resignations of Mehboob Shah, Muhammad Bashir Khan, Junaid Akbar, Shirak Bar Khan, Ali Khan Jadoon, Usman Tarkai, Mujahid Ali, Arbab Amir Ayub, Sher Ali Arbab.

Shahid Ahmed, Gul Dad Khan, Sajid Khan, Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Amir Mehmood Kayani, Syed Faizul Hasan, Shaukat Ali Bhatti, Umar Aslam, Amjad Ali Khan, Khurram Shahzad, Faizullah, Malik Karamat Khokhar, Faizullah Ka Moka, Zahoor, Hussain Qureshi, Ibrahim Khan, Tahir Iqbal Aurangzeb Khan Kuchi, Abdul Majeed Khan, Asma Qadeer, Munora Bibi Baloch are also among those whose resignations have been accepted.

PTI leaders have been announcing that President Arif Alvi will ask the premier to take the vote of confidence.

Notably, the en masse resignations were tendered by the PTI leaders when Imran Khan-led government was toppled through a no-confidence motion in April last year.

Notably, 131 MNAs submitted their resignations and approx. 69 were accepted this week.
