ISLAMABAD: The National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) has presented the initial report about the massive power breakdown in the country on January 23 that paralysed life in many cities for hours.

The report said that on the morning of January 23, a fluctuation in the frequency took place that resulted in the tripping of the line.

The tripping led to a massive power breakdown in the country.

It is also said that the system of NTDC and K-Electric became non-functional and 11,356 MW of electricity was lost from the system.

Regarding the rehabilitation of the system, the report said that the rehabilitation started immediately in Tarbela, Magala and Warsak.
