LAHORE: Chief Minister (CM) Punjab, Pervaiz Elahi, said Tuesday that the deliberation on the merger of PML-Q with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is going on adding that Imran Khan will be informed after consultation with the party workers.

He was addressing the inauguration event of the parking plaza outside Daata Darbar when said that PML-Q is not going to merge with any political party and underscored that Imran Khan requested the unification.

“Consultations on the option of unification are going on and so far no final decision has been made in this regard.”

The outgoing CM also said that Imran Khan is their leader and his kindness cannot be forgotten.

While touching on the elections, Elahi maintained that the electoral process is to be held in the country within three months. “Back door talks are being held.”

Pervaiz Elahi said that we have given a package worth more than 20 billion rupees to Lahore. “Yesterday we inaugurated development projects worth 15 billion rupees. Before this, we planned a lot to upgrade Lahore. More measures should be taken for the arrival of foreign visitors and their facilities.”

He also alleged that no plans were considered for Lahore in the past and the PML-N leaders like Rana Sanaullah have only filed fake cases against the people.
