LAHORE: A letter has been written to President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to investigate the murder case of senior journalist and well-known anchorperson Arshad Sharif through the judicial tribunal.

A letter has been sent to the President and the Prime Minister by Azhar Siddique, the head of the Judicial Activism Panel, to investigate the Arshad Sharif murder case via judicial tribunal.

The text of the letter to be sent to the President and Prime Minister states that the Kenyan government is directly involved in Arshad Sharif’s murder and is not cooperating at all with the investigation.

The letter has clarified that the delay in the investigation will not allow access to the killers, but in view of the sensitivity of the matter, the International Court of Justice should be approached and a judicial inquiry tribunal headed by a Supreme Court judge should be formed for the investigation.

It has been said in the letter that an attempt has been made to suppress the freedom of expression by the killing of senior journalist Arshad Sharif and the entire nation is still saddened by his killing and wants to see the killers on the scene, based on which it has been demanded that an investigation be carried out. For this, help should be taken from national and international journalistic organizations.
