LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to withdraw the resignations of 44 members of the national assembly (NA).

The development surfaced after the appointment of Mohsin Naqvi as caretaker CM Punjab.

PTI leader Asad Umar while taking it to Twitter announced that the 44 members of the assembly have decided to take their resignations back as the speaker is not accepting all of the resignations of the PTI members.

He also said that the decision has been taken as per the instructions of the party chairman and an email in this regard has been sent to the speaker of national assembly.

“The next step will be the nomination of the Leader of the Opposition.”

Meanwhile, Fawad Chaudhry maintained that the 45 members of PTI have withdrawn their resignations from the speaker NA to give the posts of Leader of Opposition and Parliamentary Party to Tehreek-e-Insaf.

He also said that the move has been taken to get rid of the fake opposition leader and to prevent looters from voting for Shehbaz Sharif in the vote of confidence.

Pertinently, Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi was sworn in as Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab late Sunday evening as appointed by the Election Commission of Pakistan after the parliamentary committee failed to reach a name for the caretaker setup.
