The minor girls went missing in Karachi and were found in Lahore.
LAHORE: Railway Police handed over two young girls, who went missing in Karachi and were found in Lahore, to Sindh Police, BOL News reported.
The two young girls were found at the Cantt railway station in Lahore. They had reportedly escaped from their home in Karachi and had reached Lahore in a train.
Railway Police officers said they rescued two teenage girls who escaped from Karachi and took them into custody. A police constable patrolling at a railway station saw them in a disguise and questioned them.
The girls revealed that they had left home because of their father’s inappropriate behavior, Railway Police officials said. The teenage girls, 14-year-old Naila and 13-year-old Kinza, were classmates of Grade VIII.
A girl told police officers that they ran away from home due to the behaviour of her father. Railway police officials advised the girls to refrain from this practice in future.
The parents had also filed an FIR in the Korangi Police Station in Karachi over the disappearance of the girls and expressed concerns that they were kidnapped.
Railway Police officials said the Help Desk at the railway station kept the girls safe for one day. They said the timely action saved girls from social threats and sexual crimes.
During interrogation, it was also revealed that the girls travelled in Khyber Mail Express and reached Lahore Cantt Station at 2.30 AM on Monday.
A constable found him hiding at the corner of the railway station platform. The constable said that the girls had dressed up in boy’s clothes to disclose their identity.
The young girls were handed over to the Karachi Police after completing all the legal procedures in the presence of the investigating officer from Karachi and their parents.
