RAWALPINDI: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Assistant Minister of Defence, Major General Talal Abdullah Al-Otaibi, called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the Saudi dignitary called on the army chief at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

Saudi Assistant Minister of Defence also called on Chief of General Staff (CGS) Lieutenant General Muhammad Saeed. They held delegation-level meeting on bilateral defence collaboration.

Earlier this month, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir met Saudi Arabia’s Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman during his official visit to the country.

The army chief visited Saudi Arabia and the UAE from 4-10^th January and met the senior leadership of both countries to discuss matters of mutual interest, military cooperation, and bilateral relations focusing on security-related subjects.

During the meeting, the Saudi defence minister congratulated Gen Munir on his appointment as the new COAS.

The meeting was attended by Chief of General Staff of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Lieutenant-General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Assistant Minister of Defence Eng. Talal bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, as well as military and civilian officials of both countries.

The emphasized the strength and durability of bilateral relations between the two fraternal countries and discussed military and defense cooperation, and ways to support and enhance them, in addition to discussing the most important regional and international issues of common interest.
