LAHORE: The school girls – accused of torturing their fellow student – get pre-arrest bail from a session court in Lahore.

Pertinently, a video surfaced on social media yesterday showing three school girls torturing their fellow student at a private school in the Defence area of Lahore.

Additional Sessions Judge Chaudhry Zafar Iqbal heard the petition filed for pre-arrest bail.

Advocate Mian Rab Nawaz appeared on behalf of the three girls and claimed that the victim was a drug addict herself and wanted to engage his clients in the illegal act.

The court granted bail to the girls against surety bonds worth Rs50,000 each. The court also barred the authorities from arresting the girls till January 30.

Pertinently, an inquiry was launched into the case when the video clip went viral on social media showing the girls hitting hard the victim while one sitting on her and the other attacking her.

The First Information Report (FIR) of the incident was registered on the complaint filed by the victim’s father, named Imran.
