HYDERABAD: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon discharged from National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), Hyderabad after improvement in his health.

The minister was brought to the National Institute of Cardio-Vascular Diseases (NICVD), Hyderabad after he suffered heart attack.

The doctors at NICVD mentioned that two of Sharjeel Inam Memon’s coronary arteries were blocked. The NICVD doctors performed angioplasty followed by angiography of PPP leader.

Two cardiac stents had been placed in Sharjeel Memon’s arteries to unblock them. The PPP leader was discharged from hospital after his condition was declared stable by hospital administration.

Earlier, National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), including 10 hospitals and 24 Chest Pain Units, has become the only healthcare facility in the world to have treated over 2.2 million patients and performed 3,641 cardiac surgeries and 19,888 primary PCIs free of charge in 2022.

The NICVD spokesperson said this on Friday. According to him, teams of the NICVD surgeons performed the aforesaid cardiac surgeries and procedures on children and adults in various cities of Sindh during 2022.
