KARACHI: The residents of Quetta Township Cooperative Housing Society Ltd, moved to Sindh High Court (SHC) for non-approval of construction in the area.

A two-member bench headed by Justice Muhammad Iqbal Kalhoro heard the case.

The residents filed a petition in the Sindh High Court against the non-approval of construction in Quetta Township, on which the court issued notices to the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) and others.

The Sindh High Court sought a reply from Director of General Town Planning and other parties on January 10.
Residents of Quetta Township Karachi approached the court through Usman Farooq Advocate.

Usman Farooq Advocate told the court that despite the completion of construction, SBCA is not approving the layout plan. The construction has been done as per Town Planning Regulation.

On behalf of the residents of the area, lawyer Usman Farooq submitted that the SBCA should be stopped from taking action until the approval plan for the construction is approved.
