LAHORE: Senior journalist and Bol News anchorperson Imran Riaz Khan was barred from attending a match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) for wearing ‘mask of slain journalist Arshad Sharif.

Imran Riaz Khan, along with his friends, came to watch the match between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi being played at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.

Police barred the senior journalist and his friends from entering the stadium for wearing masks of Arshad Sharif. This led to a scuffle between police and Imran Riaz Khan and his team after which they left the stadium without watching the match.

 


Imran Riaz said the purpose of the visit was the seek justice for Arshad Sharif. “They are afraid of this mask,” he said on Twitter, sharing a picture of mask with Arshad Sharif’s face.
