QUETTA: Government of Balochistan has formed a committee to investigate the incident after three bodies, including a woman, were found from a well in Haji Kot area of Barkhan district.

Police found the bullet-riddled bodies of three people, including a woman, from a well on Monday evening. The three people belonging to the Marri tribe were killed before their bodies were dumped in the well.

The victims were identified by the police as Giran Naz, aged 40-45, wife of Khan Muhammad Marri and her two sons Muhammad Nawaz and Abdul Qadir.

He alleged that his family was killed after being tortured.

Balochistan Inspector General of Police Abdul Khaliq Sheikh took notice of the murders and vowed no leniency against those involved. He said a high-level impartial investigation committee will be conducted in consultation with the families of the victims.

SSP (Investigation) Quetta, Representative of Special Branch Barkhan, and Deputy Commissioner Barkhan have been included as members of the committee.
