LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday rejected the contempt plea against Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah for scandalizing the judiciary terming it inadmissible.

Justice Abid Aziz heard the case of contempt against the interior minister.

The plaintiff Rana Shahid maintained before the court that Rana Sanaullah leaked the audio of former chief minister Punjab Pervaiz Elahi and President Supreme Court Bar by holding a live press conference adding that the minister tried to make the judiciary controversial by the act.

He took the stand that contempt of court action must be taken against the minister as he disturbed the privacy and tried to make the judiciary controversial.

The court remarked that Supreme Court has already been looking into the matter and will take up the case.
