Shehbaz Sharif invites Raja Riaz for consultations on caretaker prime minister
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday extended profound felicitations, on behalf of the people and government of Pakistan, to Amir of State of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the Kuwaiti people on their national day.
“We (Pakistan) are keen to further build on our excellent bilateral relations,” the prime minister posted on his Twitter handle.
On January 7, Shehbaz Sharif had said Pakistan and Kuwait reiterated mutual commitment to further expand and diversify special bilateral relations.
He had a telephonic conversation with his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The prime minister had apprised the Kuwaiti leader of the ‘International Conference on Climate Resilient Pakistan’, in Geneva, and requested high-level participation.
The prime minister had reaffirmed the importance Pakistan attached to its relationship with Kuwait and reiterated the desire to further expand bilateral cooperation in diverse fields.
He had underscored the resolve to forge deeper economic engagement between Pakistan and Kuwait – including in trade, investment, labour and other key sectors.
Shehbaz Sharif had expressed satisfaction at close cooperation between the two countries at the multilateral forums. He had appreciated the measures taken by Kuwait for the recruitment of Pakistani manpower in the fields of health, security and infrastructure.
