VEHARI: A staff member of private bus raped hostess while travelling through Vehari on Saturday, Bol News reported.

All the passengers had got out of the bus at Melsi, the victim girl said. She said she was using her mobile phone when guard called her 3-4 times to come at the last seat. The bus driver asked her to fetch cell phone from him, she said.

“When I came towards the last seat, the guard forced and pushed me to lay on the seat. Then he raped me. The driver stopped the bus only after my shouting. When we reached in Vehari, the guard gave me Rs2,000 and asked not to tell anyone,” she said.

She said she immediately called at helpline 15 and the police assured to take action against the culprits.

Later, police arrested the guard and bus driver. Police said the bus was travelling from Sadiqabad to Vehari. Investigation was underway from the suspect, they said.
