PESHAWAR: Additional IG CTD Shaukat Abbas said Friday that Afghanistan steered the plan for blast at Police Lines in Peshawar.

Explaining the investigation being carried out into the blast, IG CTD said that the blast was planned in Afghanistan and blamed Jamat Al Harrar for the attack.

He also disclosed the name of the mastermind involved in the suicide blast. “Ghaffar alias Salman – the mastermind of the plan – was in continuous touch with suicide attacker.”

While shedding light on the plan strategized by Afghanistan, Additional IG CTD said that the suicide bomber took training from a center in Afghanistan.

Moreover, he disclosed that the handlers of the terror attack have been traced and all the characters involved in the incident will be caught.
