ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has strongly expressed its resentment over the text of a letter written by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor to the electoral watchdog regarding the elections of provincial elections, on Tuesday.

KP Governor Haji Ghulam Ali has written the letter to the ECP and instructed it to come to the Governor House with complete preparations for the meeting being held tomorrow (Wednesday).

The ECP sources said that the KP governor has not used appropriate words in his letter.

The ECP rebuked the governor and asked him to keep himself limited to his responsibilities and order of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, adding that the governor should just confine himself to the date of the elections.

The work of the governor is to give the date of the election in the light of the decision of the Supreme Court and not to give us orders, the election commission is about law and order.
