KARACHI: The Election Commission Sindh has written a letter to the Chief Secretary for the deployment of Rangers during the local government (LG) re-polling in 15 constituencies of the province.

A request has been made in the letter written by the electoral body in regard to tightening the security measures at the polling stations.

The commission took a stance that amid the current situation, strict security measures must be ensured at the polling stations.

Meanwhile, the commission has also requested that the army personnel must be posted at the stations as a quick response force during the re-poll.

The re-poll will take place on March 26 in 15 constituencies of Sindh.
