LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leader Yasmin Rashid on Saturday said everyone knew that police took PTI activist Ali Bilal dragging with them on March 8, Bol News reported.
Exclusively talking to Bol TV in response to Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s press conference, Yasmin Rashid said Mohsin Naqvi should be ashamed on levelling allegations on me. It was a pity that they were declaring it an accident, she said.
“It is mentioned in the post mortem that he suffered blood injury which means that he has been beaten by baton. The most pitiful thing is that Ali Bilal has been tortured on his sensitive body parts,” Dr Yasmin Rashid said.
She said at the time of the incident, they smashed her vehicle. The SP expressed sorrow with her at clinic at 6:15 pm, she added.
“Will you say so much lie that it will become truth. They tell so much lie that one of their ministers said that Imran Khan did not receive bullet injury. I myself am witness of Imran Khan’s receiving bullet wound,” she said.
The PTI leader said the joint investigation team told that three people attacked Imran Khan. She said prior to the rally she was being told that she should be more careful.
She said post-mortem report mentioned of 26 injuries on Ali Bilal’s body. She said it was heart-wrenching to see his post-mortem. She said at least 100 people were witness that she was being beaten on road.
Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday said the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) worker Ali Bilal did not die of torture on March 8.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore along Punjab Inspector General Usman Anwar, Mohsin Naqvi said they sat together immediately after the incident as death of any citizen was not a meagre incident. He said the government did not give any instruction for torture.
The Punjab IG said the entire case would be brought before the masses and reply of each and every video circulating on social media would be given. “Action will be taken, if police officials are involved in the killing,” he said adding that the vehicle in which the victim was brought to the hospital was traced on Waris Khan Road with the help of 31 surveillance cameras.
He said a video was reported of a black vehicle’s coming to Services Hospital. Name of the vehicle’s driver was Jahanzaib and its owner was Raja Shakeel, he added. He said Raja Shakeel was a worker of PTI Central Punjab.
